Jamie Smith founded Jamie’s Notebook in 2009 after more than a decade in the print newspaper industry. Her freelance writing career started in 2007 with several articles appearing in national and international publications.
Her copywriting skills are diverse, giving her the ability to write across many genres, for many purposes. Her work as a reporter made her a local expert on various topics including education, government and various business issues.
Her consulting and public speaking skills are in increasing demand and help give that “voice” by teaching others how to better utilize written words.
Jamie has undergone leadership training, including becoming certified in Personal Leadership Effectiveness™ from Future Achievement International. She now uses those skills and knowledge to inspire other small business owners to find their own ways of providing leadership.
Jamie volunteers with the WordCamp Fayetteville planning committee and GiveCamp NWA. She is a member of various organizations including Northwest Arkansas Bloggers, Arkansas Women Bloggers and The Women Bloggers.
She and her husband live in Elkins, Ark. with their two dogs and two cats. She enjoys scrapbooking and writing on her personal blog, Sunflowers & Thorns.
