I want to take a moment to introduce my new intern, Mackenzie Mills, who is a 21-year-old Northwest Arkansas native that attends the University of Arkansas as a journalism major. Mackenzie hopes to someday be a novelist and an advocate for mental health awareness. She is a dog mom of two adorable, insane puppies and spends her free time at the dog park or in bed binge-watching Netflix.
Here’s what she has to say about her new role at Jamie’s Notebook:
“The life of a college student is a hectic one. From class, to work, to hanging out with friends, it seems like I am constantly on the go. Now that I am nearing the end of my college experience, it is time to get down to the nitty gritty. Figuring out what path is right for me has taken a little while, but I have finally found my passion in writing.
I was ecstatic to get the internship with Jamie’s Notebook. It seemed like the perfect fit for me, as I do not have much experience in the writing game. I write a personal blog, but I was looking for something more. Something where I would have a chance to broaden my knowledge and views in writing.”
