Understand the “why” of business blogging, how to get started

Companies and non-profit organizations that might be on the fence about whether or not to start a blog can get their answers during an upcoming free webinar called Why Your Marketing Plan Needs a Blog and How to Get Started.

Jamie Smith, owner of Jamie’s Notebook, a professional writing services company based in Northwest Arkansas, will lead the event. The free, one-hour webinar is scheduled for 1 p.m., Tuesday, June 20 (CDT). Registration is required and participants will need to have access to the free software Zoom to participate. In this webinar, participants will learn the five reasons a blog is a necessary piece to any marketing plan. Next, the first three questions any business owner should ask themselves before starting a business blog will be explored. All information discussed will empower small business and non-profit leaders to make the initial decisions necessary for their organization’s blog, Smith said.

“If you’re a small business owner or the leader of a non-profit, I would bet good money that you’ve been told you must have a blog.” Smith said. “I would agree with that advice, but I think it’s important to understand why it’s necessary. More importantly, it’s vital for you to understand how to be strategic when starting your organization’s blog.”
